Introductions

Hello, I am currently an undergraduate researcher and junior in the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of Utah, however, I am planning on pursuing a BS/MS degree with the MS in computer science.  I am doing my research in the field of robotics, and I have created this blog to post about all the cool things I'm doing.

I am currently working in a Virtual Reality lab on the TreadPort Active Wind Tunnel, a VR project to stimulate not only the eyes and ears, but all the senses to create the most immersive virtual reality experience possible.  Currently, work is being done to add an olfactory display, a heat display, and (my project) a weight displayApplications range from "Wow, that would make a great game platform!" to helping people with spinal cord injuries walk again.

I am also hoping to begin work with a new professor here who is working with quadrotors, although I'm still not sure what exactly i want to do specifically, I'm thinking something to do with flying through a dynamically changing environment.

Anyway, there's a little about my research to date, I'll post when I have time and if I do something particularly interesting.
